Hello, my name is Ron Pery. I started in the building industry when I was 16 years old, working with my father.

My father was a house builder as well as a cabinet maker, and also built several boats as well as a line of Colonial Furniture. This is where I began to learn my craft and develop an understanding for fine woodworking and detail.

Several years later I had the opportunity to work for the late Sandford Meech who was an architect with very unusual vision. It was at this point in my life I began to experiment with design. My first house design was an 18th century Gambrel Roofed Colonial with a large center chimney. I built this house when I was 22 years old and it was my first home. This house can be viewed in my Colonial Portfolio. I was beginning to learn the importance and impact of proportion and design.

I was 26 years old when I went into business for myself. I constructed many projects for Jim Juros, an architect for whom I credit with inspiring me to go further with my interest to design. In this period of time I designed and built several contemporary houses as well as traditional homes myself. Becoming more intersted in finer details and inside work, I began to devote the focus of my career on creating unique interiors. Fine woodworking became my priority.

My favorite wood is Honduras Mahogany because of its richness and color, and can be found in many of my projects. I have also used this species of wood in creating some very detailed fireplace mantels. I have also designed libraries as well as wine cellars with a variety of woods.

Once a project is completed, my highest compliment is when a client tells me that they can't wait to get home to enjoy the space that I have created for them.

In closing, I feel fortunate to have worked on so many projects that involve intricate woodworking combined with unique architectual detail. I will always strive to create projects that are truly one of a kind and that will stand out among the rest. So if you are interested in starting a project that will meet these requirements, please feel free to contact me.
